"I had pretty “decent” teeth but I wanted to close some spacing and eventually get veneers to cover a spot on my tooth that has bothered me my entire life. Dr. Best has been the greatest thing to happen to me! I now have PERFECT teeth and after getting the braces removed, the brown spot is now gone! I can’t recommend this office enough. "The building is clean and every staff member has been exceptional. My 9 year old son got his braces on today and by the time we got home he had picked at them and loosened a bracket. I called the office to explain what happened and they allowed us to head back in to get it fixed without an appointment. When we got there they got us in quickly and resolved his issue without a problem. Again: fast and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else."

"Well ever since moving to the Mount Dora/Sorrento area 5 years ago, this is honestly the first place where I’ve received exceptional customer service and experienced the most caring staff. My niece is visiting from VA and one of her screws from her Herbst appliance unscrewed completely. I called several orthodontists office around the area and they all denied providing any sort of service to fix the issue since it wasn’t done by their office. Coincidentally, I also needed a second opinion on my 8 year old’s daughter need for braces, recommended by her dentist and then felt forced into by another ortho office. They did a free consultation for my daughter and determined that we should extract another baby tooth before getting braces and see if that will help resolve her issue from her permanent tooth not growing out. Then reevaluate the need for braces in another year. The doctor was so professional, honest and assuring. I’m glad that his first thing was not to push her getting braces but trying other natural options. He then proceeded to examine my niece and was able to fix her Herbst appliance so it wasn’t poking the inside of her cheek. And he did this all for free as a Good Samaritan procedure. He restored my faith in orthodontists. I’ve already made my daughter’s 1 year follow-up. I will be referring all of my mommy friends to Dr. Best because he truly is THE BEST!! Thank you Dr. Best, from the bottom of our hearts."

"Called at 3:00PM on 9/7/23 to schedule an appointment to get my daughter braces. Was left on hold for 12 minutes. I called back at 3:30 And was left on hold. I hung up and called at 3:45 and was placed on hold again. I’m taking it at a sign that this may not be the place where I should take my business. This message is for the management team. I suggest a better system or protocols to not deter any potential clients.Update*** an employee saw my number on a caller ID and called me back after close of business this same day. I will refer to her as Mrs. E. She apologized as they were having issues with phones and short staffed. I expressed to her that whoever was answering phones would have been better of just stating, he we are really busy, what’s your number we will call you back or ask to call back later. Instead, they would answer phone, not let you speak, place you on hold indefinitely. Mrs. E asked me if I would like an appointment, I had already scheduled with another practice and told her no thanks. We talked a bit over the phone, she expressed interest in my concerns so I decided to give them shot.Day of appointment- the location seemed nice, the staff at front desk was very attentive and greeted everyone that walked in. They took my daughter to do some x-rays and within a few minutes we were sitting with Dr. Best. I must give Dr. Best kudos for being diligent and concise explaining his assessment. Mind you I had gone to another practice the week prior. He articulated his approach to achieving the results we are looking for in simple terms. With the X Ray up on the screen as he is explaining, made it that much easier to understand. The first practice was just trying to sell us Invisalign’s product. Dr. Best was concerned about getting the best results. With that said, I’m calling Best smiles today to move forward with my daughter’s braces. Thank you Mrs. E for following up. "I just recently had my braces removed after two years of having them on, and I must say that I am extremely happy with the results! Dr. Best and staff did an amazing job! For years, I had been telling myself “I really should get braces…” Now in my 30’s I finally made the decision to go for it, and I’m glad I did! The staff was always very friendly to me, and I always looked forward to going in for my appointments. I usually had Martine work on my teeth, and she always did an outstanding job! Dr. Best is a really cool guy, and is very fun to talk to and joke with. If I had any issues, he would always take time to address my concerns and answer my questions. We ended up keeping my braces on a little bit longer than anticipated, and I’m glad we did. "Was able to get a new pair of retainers back in Sept./Oct. 2021. For the past 11 years (2010-2021), my bottom retainer became warped because I would wash it with too-warm/hot water and the denture cleaner solution. This place is the only one in Daytona I believe, and they consistently received great Google reviews, so wanted to give them a try.Did not disappoint. Dr. Best and his team are really caring and able to provide great service. Originally I wanted only one retainer (the bottom), but it was best to get both top and bottom as it's hard to just do it for one side only. The price for just one side was the same for the top and bottom, so it made most sense to not only get just the bottom. Smooth process of getting the x-rays done and the mold. Was able to use my HSA for payment."

They have rebranded and are now known as "Best Smiles Orthodontics." When I came in for my consultation, everyone was kind (including the doctor) and everything went pretty quickly. "I have been going here since I was in the fifth grade and have came a long way. From my dad picking me up early from school to me making my own appointments. My teeth used to be the worst that sometimes Id get made fun of. Now a lot of girls compliment me saying how nice my teeth and smile are. I went through a multitude of procedures such as having to get several teeth taking out (different dentist for that), to wearing this crazy device to fix my overbite that covered all my teeth, to having braces from the 5th grade to 10th grade. Now i wear my retainer every once in a while to sleep. The staff here is extremely friendly and I will never forget how nice to me they always were. In my opinion, you will NOT find a more professional, friendly and cost effective group. I live in Winter Park, FL and talked to all of the "best" orthodontic groups in the area that cost much more and I can tell you that I made the right choice in using Dr. Nguyen. He is fantastic and pays attention to detail to get your smile looking its best. Both of my sons needed braces, as did I. My oldest son and I have just recently had our braces removed and we could not be happier. My youngest will be in for a while longer but I expect his results will be fantastic as well. With 3 of our family in braces at the same time, budget was a consideration and I would say that paying more does not always mean you get more. CFL Ortho was far less than the other groups I considered and I saved a truck load but did not give up quality service. I must also say that the support staff is awesome as well. "In May, 2011, I began researching the education and training histories of numerous orthodontists throughout Central Florida. My twin daughters both needed braces, and I knew one of them had an especially complex problem that needed an exceptional orthodontist to be able to correct without dramatically changing her facial structure and appearance. I learned of Dr. Danh Nguyen through my online research, and was so impressed by his extensive education, training, residency, and orthodontic RESEARCH history with the University of Florida that I decided it was worth the one hour drive each way (two hours drive time per appointment for over two years) to have my daughters' treated by Dr. Nguyen at Central Florida Orthodontic Specialists in Altamonte Springs, Florida, as opposed to any number of local orthodontists near my home. Upon consultation, he listened carefully to my concerns, and without promising anything he couldn't deliver, he assured me he would carefully customize treatment plans for both of my children to correct their orthodontic problems with as little change to their facial structures and jaw lines as possible. I have seen too many cases of orthodontists who treat every patient the same; merely pull a bunch of teeth, pull back the overbites for the perfect bite regardless of the adverse effects to facial structure and appearance, and send them on their way. By contrast, Dr. Nguyen employed creative treatment solutions that I didn't even know were options to avoid the potential negative consequences to appearance that traditional methods can cause, and they worked! Today, both of my daughters had their braces removed to reveal stunning new smiles that we can't stop looking at! They have taken at least 100 pictures of themselves already and can't stop staring at their smiles in the mirror. The results of Dr. Nguyen's knowledge, creativity, and skill in delivering state of the art customized treatment plans are truly spectacular. I don't think any other orthodontist could have pulled off the results he did with the complexity of problems he had to work to correct.In addition to Dr. Nguyen, the office staff (Jessica in particular) at Altamonte's Central Florida Orthodontics location consistently went out of their way to help us with any and all issues that arose with regard to scheduling, rescheduling, insurance, billing, and more over the past two plus years.
